How Our Environmental Services Work
We train young adults, age 18 – 25, to protect and maintain the urban environment throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Youth learn about conservation and preservation, including restoration of watersheds, parks, open spaces, natural habitats and ecosystems. Corpsmembers acquire skills in building trails, controlling erosion, identifying native plants, planting trees, and learn how to remove invasive non-native plants.

Improvements to the landscape included planting of trees and shrubs as well as an upgraded irrigation system.
